In the past, simply using transmission mounts from a 320i provided some benefit when used in late model BMWs. By developing the Tranmission Mount Enforcer (TME), it increases it's effectiveness substantially, without ill effects. Installation is rather painless and the benefits are tremendous. With the overwhelming popularity of our Tranny Mount Enforcers, we decided to improve the system even more.

By working with a vibration control company, they have been able to produce a custom vibration mount designed to work specifically with the TME. However, by specifying specific design parameters with the mount, the most effective upgrade just got better. By maintaining the vibration dampening and deflection properties of the 320i mount and incorporating minute changes for use with the TME, you have an upgrade that has no equal! No vibration, no modifications to the car or driveline, no change in height of transmission bushings.

UUC - Stainless Steel Clutch Line

Original clutch line is rubber and can expand under the normal pressure of use. This expansion of the line negatively affects the clutch slave cylinder actuation, and makes for mushy pedal feedback.

UUC's Stainless Clutch Line is used to "performance tune" your clutch control. Inner TeflonŽ line is covered with woven stainless steel braid that will not expand under pressure. The advantages include better clutch pedal feedback and superior clutch modulation. Results will be immediate.

    UUC Stage 2 Aluminum Lightweight Flywheels

    Replacing your heavy (up to 27 pounds in some models!) dual mass flywheel with a lightweight flywheel is one of most effective performance modifications for your BMW. Throttle response is instantaneous, acceleration is improved and perfect rev matching on down shifts becomes second nature.

    Specifications for UUC's BMW flywheels:
    - CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, tempered for high stregth and light weight
    - Friction surfaces are laser cut from 1050 high carbon alloy steel
    - Friction surfaces are attached using aerospace nuts and bolts
    - Ring gears are heat treated and attached with grade 10 fasteners

    Tipping the scales at only 8.5lbs, this new aluminum flywheel boasts the same great features as UUC's Classic flywheel, but is designed to use the clutch disk, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing from the 3.6 liter E34 M5.

    This clutch has several advantages for the enthusiast driver: while still maintaining the reliability and over-the-counter availability of a BMW factory part, it incorporates a sprung-hub design with a heavy-duty steel pressure plate.

    The advantage of a sprung-hub clutch design is improved resistance (and in many cases, complete elimination) of the residual chattering noise at idle that some lightweight flywheel-equipped cars can experience.

    Because BMW spec'd this clutch for use on the powerful S38-series engine in the M5, it is up to the task of handling the output from a modified M50-series (all '92-'99 6-cylinder E36 3-series) motor.

    The total weight of this clutch disk and pressure plate combo is greater than that of a stock E36 M3 clutch, so UUC has reduced the flywheel weight to achieve an overall rotating mass that is almost identical to their Classic flywheel and M3 clutch combo.

    So whichever flywheel you choose, UUC's Classic 11.6lb model or their new Stage II, you can be assured not only of the performance increase you will experience, but the long-term ease of ownership that comes with knowing a replacement clutch is never any further away than your dealer's parts counter.

    This flywheel can be used with any E36 model (318/323/325/328/M3), 5-speed E46 (i, Ci, iT), Z3 or E39 (525i, 528i, 530i) with no modifications, bolts right up! Perfect for non-M3s and M3s alike because it allows you to step up to the higher clamping force available with the E34 M5 clutch.
    - An E36 non-M3 clutch slave cylinder is recommended for this flywheel.

    This aluminum flywheel boasts the same great features as UUC's first-generation flywheel, but is designed to use the pressure plate from the E36 M3 and UUC's custom sprung-hub clutch disk with a choice of various performance facings.

    Big news for E46 6-speed owners!
    Many E46 owners (330, 328, 325, 323 models) have experienced mushy clutch feel, inconsistent engagement, and premature wear of the clutch in their manual-transmission cars. The reason is quite simple - the original BMW (LUK-manufactured) clutch in the E46 (and E39) has a new "SAC" (Self Adjusting Clutch) design. This new mechanism built into the clutch pressure plate is supposed to keep the clutch pedal engagement point the same as the clutch wears... but in all reality, it's a case of "an answer to a question that nobody was asking." They have added a layer of complexity and feedback isolation, filling a need that didn't need filling - it is not too often that anybody notices that their clutch engagement point as moved 1/2" over 50K miles.

    The SAC mechanism itself causes problems; it over- or under-adjusts the pressure plate and therefore causes the clutch to slip or burn out prematurely. They are also known to shift, causing the pressure plate release fingers to slip off the plate, keeping 1/3 of the pressure plate engaged at all times. Bottom line is that the only fix is a complete clutch job, and your dealer is likely to claim "driver abuse". We have seen it happen too many times.

    The SAC mechanism may not give a clean release like a standard clutch. Instead of just two sets of springs, there is an adjuster mechanism that makes engagement feel mushy or slow.

    The M3 clutch conversion eliminates the SAC mechanism and restores traditional clutch feel with predictable and crisp engagement.

    This clutch has several advantages for the enthusiast driver:

  • Maintaining the reliability and over-the-counter availability of a BMW factory part.
  • Greater clamping force than standard 3-series clutch.
  • Elimination of the SAC mechanism.
  • Incorporates a sprung-hub design for quiet operation with a heavy-duty steel pressure plate.

    Stromung exhaust systems are built to order and typically ship out in one week, but unexpected delays can occur. E30 325i systems typically take 2-3 weeks to build. They're sometimes slow to provide tracking information, so often systems are delivered before we know that they've even shipped.
